Despite hard times for testing and demo, Trustonomy team is striving for its pilots. Pilot 1 is located in Poland and Finland and is led by the Motor Transport Institute (ITS, Warsaw). The activities focus on the assessment of DSM, HMI, Driver Training, DIPA, and User Trust/Acceptance.
The test activities performed in the last days were about the Driver Training pillar with the usage of a Skoda car comprehensively equipped with the Travel Assist technology. It is an advanced driver support system that integrates various subsystems and safety functions, providing Adaptive Lane Assist, ACC, Traffic Jam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Emergency Assist. Thanks to this equipment, Travel Assist helps to keep the vehicle in the lane, at the same time it controls the speed, allows to follow other vehicles in a traffic jam, and also in case of danger, it introduces emergency braking.

More precisely, in the tests, a preliminary attempt to record the training material about the Travel Assist was carried out, as it will be a substantial part of the e-learning course designed for Skoda’s driver support system. Other sessions will follow to develop training courses targeting other partners’ activities (driving simulations, theoretical and practical driver training) and different vehicle types (cars, trucks, busses).
